hirse.eu is live

This site is online: a personal profile around Modern Work, AI and process automation, with side projects and notes. A short tour and a look under the hood.

I’d been planning to finally build my own site for a while, rather than just maintaining a LinkedIn profile. Today it’s up. Welcome.

What you’ll find

  • About – my background, focus areas and how I work. Not a full CV, only what actually matters.
  • What I do – the topics I deal with day to day: Microsoft Modern Work, Copilot and AI, process automation, leadership and community building.
  • Projects – my own side things (datly and foldly) plus an anonymised selection of professional projects.
  • Blog – these notes. Loose, no claim to completeness.
  • Contact – a form, no tracking, no cookie banner.

What it’s not about

This site is not a sales channel for my consulting work. If you need consulting or a concrete project, that runs through my employer – I’m being explicit about this because I want to keep my private and professional roles cleanly separated.

What this site is for: personal visibility, honest notes on topics I care about, and a showcase for the small tools I build in the evenings. If a talk, a workshop or a mentoring conversation comes out of it – great, that goes via the contact form.

Under the hood

The site itself is also a small hobby project:

  • Astro 5 as the framework, Tailwind CSS 4 for styling, TypeScript where it helps.
  • Statically generated – no server rendering, no database. What you see are precomputed HTML files.
  • Hosting on all-inkl webspace – the same provider that runs datly. Classic PHP/Apache setup, stable for years and affordable.
  • No tracking, no cookies, no analytics provider. Server logs only.
  • Contact form is a small PHP script that mails me – no third-party form builder.

The site is also bilingual (German and English) with proper hreflang links and a language switcher that actually points at the matching counterpart page – not at the home page, which is the lazy default many sites ship with.

What’s next

More posts. Probably first about topics I deal with professionally – Copilot rollouts, Power Platform vs. Nintex, building communities. But also about the technical side of this site, whenever something interesting comes up.

If you have topic suggestions or honest feedback on the site, feel free to reach out via the contact form or email me at d@hirse.eu.
